Students who are interested in pursuing careers in print/multimedia journalism can apply for the Chips Quinn Scholarship program, which provides training and paid internships at one of a variety of host newsrooms across the country. (Students required to travel outside their hometown will receive a $500 housing stipend.)
The Chips Quinn Scholarship program is open to juniors, seniors, graduate students and recent graduates.
Application deadline is Oct. 15 (postmarked). Applications are accepted after Oct. 15 but preference will be given to those students who are able to meet the deadline.
Students interested in the 2012 program must be planning to graduate in Dec. 2011 or be willing to take a semester off from school.
